Controlled airspace. SACAA-licensed.

Aerial cinematography along the Umhlanga coastline — the Umhlanga Rocks lighthouse, the promenade, Pearls, Sibaya and the Ocean Drive corridor — is restricted airspace because of King Shaka International's approach path. We operate with a Remote Pilot Licence (RPL), a Remote Operator Certificate (ROC) and the required ATC coordination for controlled airspace. Hobbyist drone operators cannot legally fly commercial work in this corridor.

The practical difference between hiring our studio and hiring a production company based elsewhere is time. We can scout your boardroom on the same day you brief us. We travel without overnight costs. We can respond to last-minute additions inside the shoot day because the kit room is twenty minutes away, not two hundred kilometres. For Umhlanga-based clients that's usually the deciding factor.
