Stories That
Move Funders.
For NGOs, NPCs, foundations, and donor-funded organisations across South Africa. Impact film, donor reports, beneficiary stories, fundraising appeals — produced with the dignity the work deserves and the discipline funders expect.
NGO Video Production South Africa
The Story Is the Evidence.
Funders want proof that the money works. Beneficiaries deserve to be represented with dignity, not as props in a poverty narrative. Both demands require the same thing — honest, skilled filmmaking that respects what it documents.
Audio Visual Lab's NGO video production practice covers impact film, donor reports, beneficiary stories, and fundraising appeals — produced with the discipline funders expect and the care the communities deserve.

What We Produce
Six Film Categories That Move Money.
Every NGO film type — from annual funder reports to gala highlights — produced to a standard that reflects the seriousness of the work.
Impact Films
Annual or programmatic films that prove what the funded work changes on the ground. Built around your theory of change and your funder's reporting requirements.
Donor Reports
Quarterly and annual reporting video — built around the funder's grant requirements. Structured, credible, and delivered on time for reporting cycles.
Fundraising Appeals
Campaign film designed for direct response — DAF, monthly giving, and capital appeals. Emotionally intelligent storytelling that moves people to act.
Beneficiary Stories
Long-form portraits of the people the work serves — captured with full informed consent, dignity, and editorial control returned to the subject.
Programme Documentation
Project capture for monitoring, evaluation, and learning (M&E) reporting. Structured documentation that feeds directly into funder deliverables.
Event & Gala Film
Conference, gala-evening, and donor-event coverage with same-day highlights. Multi-camera production with professional audio and branded graphics.
Ethical Capture — Always
The Dignity of the Person on Camera Is the Brief.
Beneficiary capture has its own discipline. Informed consent before the camera turns on. Anonymisation where minors or vulnerable adults are involved. Power respected — not extracted.
Written Informed Consent
Consent on every interview, in the participant's first language — before the camera turns on.
Minor Protection Protocol
Minors filmed only with guardian consent and full child-safeguarding protocol observed throughout production.
POPIA-Compliant Data Handling
Personal information and identifiable footage handled in full compliance with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act.
Approval Rights
Every featured person sees the cut before it ships. No exceptions.
